Best time of year to visit Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya has a very cool climate Averaging 16o C throughout the year. However, June to October is generally the rainy season. Hence, we advise you to come prepared.

Nuwara Eliya (City of Lights), also known as ‘Little’ England’, was the favourite hill station of the British who tried to create Nuwara Eliya into a typical English Village.

The town which is surrounded by picturesque Tea estates, Diary farms and a number of waterfalls is a complete change of scenery from the rest of the tropical Island.

while in Nuwara Eliya be sure to visit some of the Tea plantations and make a quick trip to Hortan plais national park and the famous Worlds end point.
